Seduced by metal rivets

Esta temporada toda clase de abalorios y tachuelas pueblan nuestras prendas de pies a cabeza. Las hemos visto desde en jerseys con perlitas engarzadas, vestidos joya, bolsos de inspiración Rock hasta en calzado.

Hay tachuelas para todos los gustos, con distintas formas y acabados: redondas, cuadradas, puntiagudas, negras, plateadas, doradas...El punk se cuela en tu armario a través de remaches metálicos. Si no te atreviste con los pantalones rotos y las camisetas con mensaje antisistema, ésta puede ser una buena oportunidad de sumarte a este estilo manteniendo la inocencia e ingenuidad.

¿La combinación ganadora? No hay duda: el match perfecto que resulta con el cuero.

Mi apuesta: un look sencillo de pitillo y camisa que deje todo el protagonismo a un calzado rematado con tachuelas que brilla por sí solo.

Un consejo: si eliges tacón, usa pantalón capri ¡no escondas ese zapato tan especial! ¡Merece ser el protagonista!

(This season, well be able to see all kind of metal rivets in our garments from head to toe. We have seen them in sweaters with tiny tack pearls, jewel dresses, rock-style handbags and even shoes.

There are metal rivets for all tastes, with different shapes and colours: rounded, squared, spiky, black, golden, silvered…

Through them, punk style has arrived to inspire our looks. If you didn’t dare to wear torn pants or t-shirts with daring messages against the System, perhaps now is your chance to try! while you keep the innocent and naïve scent depending on how you combine your clothes.

The perfect match? No doubt: leather.

My election: is a simple look: skinny pants and blouse that allows all the spotlight to the shoes. Shoes decorated with metal rivets will shine on their own for sure.

Tip: if you are wearing heels, use a Capri pant, don’t hide such a special shoe! They disserve to be the star of the look!)

The Equipment Shirt

Quién habría sospechado que algo tan simple como una camisa holgada con bolsillos frontales se convertiría en objeto de deseo de miles de mujeres.

La camisa equipment se convertiría sin planearlo en icono de una época gracias a Christian Restoin. La inspiración le vino de los filmes americanos de los años 50.

Fue en aquella época cuando la creación causó verdadero furor e invadió los guardarropas de mujeres de todo el mundo. Sin embargo, veinte años después la empresa cerró para dedicarse a otros negocios.

Pero en la moda, como en la vida, todo vuelve. Y aquella camisa con diseño aparentemente masculino pero con corte femenino, sexy y atemporal, volvió a escena. Hace apenas dos años, de la mano de Serge Azria, la firma regresó para quedarse. Con central en Los Ángeles, la nueva cabeza de la compañía recuerda para Vogue con cierto aire melancólico cómo mujeres que marcaron época como Lauren Bacall estaban tan obsesionadas con la preciada camisa, que iban directamente al taller a elegir el color de las telas, en unos años en los que la distribución estaba limitada a una sede en la capital francesa.
Azria dice con orgullo de la pieza que ésta “sienta bien por igual a una niña de 16 o a una señora de 60. Ambas pueden lucirla y se verán increíbles con ella”. Y esto señoras, en moda no es frecuente en absoluto.

(Who could have known that something as simple as a shirt with front pockets on the chest would turn into the obsession of thousands of women.The equipment shirt would turn, without anyone expecting it, into icon of an era thanks to Christian Restoin, who inspired himself in the films of the 50’s. It was then when his creation caused an unexpected demand and wardrobes all around the globe kept one of these shirts inside.

The company closed twenty years later. They stopped producing the shirts to move on to other businesses.

But in fashion, as in life, everything comes back. And that shirt with an apparent masculine aspect but with feminine cut, sexy and timeless, went back on scene. Hardly two years ago, the firm came back to stay, by the hand of Serge Azria. Now in Los Angeles, the new head of the company speaks to Vogue with melancholy while he remembers how women such as Lauren Bacall were so obsessed with this precious garment. They even visited the workshops and ateliers of the company to personally choose the colour of the future shirt. Those were times when the shirts could only be bought in Paris. Azria speaks, full of proud, of his shirt. He says it “perfectly fits either a girl of sixteen or a lady of sixty, and surely both of them will feel great wearing it”.

And ladies, in fashion, this isn’t common at all.)

Mixing trends

Hoy quiero enseñaros cómo combinar varias de las tendencias de esta temporada: la camisa equipment (de la que os hablaré en otro post, merece la pena detenerse en ella), los pantalones encerados, la chaqueta clásica con corte chanel y por supuesto, las plumas.

Son prendas que por sí solas acaparan todo el protagonismo, así que el mezclarlas no podía sino ofrecer un conjunto perfecto. La chaqueta y la camisa son básicos que no pueden faltar en ningún fondo de armario: combinan con prácticamente cualquier cosa, y los pantalones encerados son una acertada opción si lo que queréis es conseguir un look un poco más especial (por ejemplo: revolucionan una idea tan sencilla como una camiseta con efecto lavado y unas converse). Respecto a la camisa ¿cómo os gusta más? ¿ por dentro o por fuera? Cambia bastante el look dependiendo de cómo la lleves, ¿verdad?
Lo cierto es que tuve mucha suerte en poder echar las fotos con esta temperatura en pleno Diciembre. ¡Os invito a todos a que conozcáis Murcia!

Today I want to show you all how you can mix several of the most trendy clothes of this season: the 'equipment shirt' (Ill dedicate an entire post to itself soon, its worth it) , waxed trousers, the classic Chanel-style jacket and of course the unforgettable feathers. They are all garments that work on their own, so mixing them could only give a perfect result. The jacket and the shirt are basics that necessarily have to be in all wardrobes, because the suit with practically everything. On the other hand, polished pants are a wise choice if what you want is to get a look a little more special ( for example: they can revolutionize an idea as simple as a washed effect T-shirt and a pair of Converse shoes).
Regarding to the shirt, how do you like it best? In the inside or on the outside? The look changes a lot depending on how you wear it!

Good morning everyone!

¡Buenos días por la mañana!Normalmente voy siempre con prisas por la mañana, pero hoy me he levantado bastante temprano, así que he decidido tener un momento para mi y desayunar tranquilamente un té con leche.
¡Me encanta este colador!

La torta que veis en la foto es casera y típica de mi pueblo, está riquísima, es de almendras.

Adoro la caja redonda,  la suelo utilizar para guardar chocolates y galletas y dulces cuando cocino.
El té que me preparé es el que ofrece the "Tea Shop" en edición limitada de navidad, es súper dulce y ¡realmente tiene un sabor navideño! Además es Rooibos y contiene trozos de almendra, manzana, clavo, canela y piel de naranja, Os lo recomiendo para estas fechas.

¡¡Espero que tengáis un inicio de semana lleno de energía, ánimo que pronto es Navidad!!

(Good morning in the morning!Im normally in a hurry in the morning, but Ive woken up quite early today, so Ive decided to have a time for myself and drink a cup of tea with milk. I love this strainer, its damn cute! 

The homemade cake you see in the picture is typical in my town, so nice, made of almonds.

I love the rounded box, I usually keep inside chocolates and the cookies I make whenever I cook.
The tea I prepared is the one offered by the "Tea Shop" in Christmas. Its limited edition so it will only be in shops for a couple of months. No joke, it really tastes like Christmas! Its Rooibos, containing pieces of almond, apple, clove cinnamon and orange peel. I really recommend it for these days!Hope you have a great start of the week full of energy. De la intimidad del hogar a la calle. Llegaron para quedarse hace años, pero es ahora cuando se están dejando ver con más fuerza. ¡Y lo entiendo!

Los slippers ganan tantos detractores como adeptos. Lo que no puede negarse es su carácter cómodo, entendible dada su naturaleza: se concibieron como zapatillas para andar por casa. Propios de los aristócratas ingleses, originariamente fueron de terciopelo, suela de piel y, según para qué gustos, adornados con las iniciales del dueño.

Desde Ralph Lauren a Jimmy Choo, pasando por McQueen, todos han caído en esta tendencia. Incluso podremos encontrar las míticas suelas rojas de Louboutin, ya que…¡también ha sucumbido!

Estampados imposibles, calaveras, brillos…Nicole Richie, Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss o Alexa Chung no han obviado este calzado que ha pasado de icono de tradición a símbolo de modernidad.
Se siente Hugh Hefner, ¡ya no son sólo un calzado para hombre!

The slippers have as many detractors as fans. What cant be denied is that they are really comfortable, which is understandable due to their nature: they were conceived as shoes to walk with around the house. Worn by english aristrocrats, originally they were made out of velvet and had leather soles, and depending on the owners taste, they were adorned with his initials.

Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, McQueen…all of them have succumbed to this trend. We can even find the famous red soles in them, because also Louboutin has tempted to fall!
Impossible prints, skulls, glitter…Nicole Richie, Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss and Alexa Chung haven’t ignored this footwear that used to be a symbol of tradition and now has become a  modernity icon.

Styling tips

¡Ya llega el fin de semana! Qué ganas tenía, se me estaba haciendo eterna la semana. ¿Qué planes tenéis?
El post de hoy va de trucos :) . Cómo unos simples vaqueros, si son los adecuados, y una camiseta pueden estilizar y estrechar la cintura. Los pantalones son de pitillo, de cintura alta (la cintura baja acorta las piernas) y la camiseta lleva hombreras en el interior, lo que crea el efecto óptico de que se es más alta. El cinturón debe ser fino, para conseguir el efecto deseado.
Para darle un toque especial a un look tan sencillo, me puse una diadema de strass.

Today's post is about dressing tricks :). How a simple pair of trousers, if they're the right ones, and a t-shirt can stylize and narrow our waist. The skinny trousers have high waist (low waist can shorten your legs). The shirt has pads on the inside, which creates the illusion that you are taller than you really are.The belt should be thin to obtain the desired effect.
To make such a simple outfit look special, I wore a rhinestone tiara.I really hope all these tips have been useful and that you encourage to try them. Ill keep writing tomorrow!)
